Bruce Kasanoff states that companies that follow the "Profits Before People" principle will abandon their employees in tough times. Why? The primary focus is on (short-term) profits and ROI for investors.

In my opinion, those companies following this principle should be open about it, for the sake of the employees that do work for them. Why? No (bad) surprises for the employees.

As for companies that stick by their employees in tough times (so usually the companies that focus on long-term growth)? DO brag about it, please (which is the same advice/request the author makes).
