Dirty Epic, books and pictures

Album CoverAfter a few months of being part of my regular musical rotation, I’ve come to the realization that one of my favorite songs is “Dirty Epic” by Underworld, which I found on their compilation album 1992-2002. It’s very relaxing to listen to (eventhough it’s electronica), whether you are walking, working or just chilling out. The song has a slight melancholic feel, but it’s not depressing. It’s probably the best song on the 2-disc compilation album. For anyone that cringes at the thought of listening to electronic music, they should give “Dirty Epic” a chance.

On the literature front, I’ll be digging into two books I have recently bought: “House of Bush, House of Saud” and “Free Culture: How Big Media Uses Technology and the Law to Lock Down Culture and Control Creativity”. The purchases were influenced by the movie “Fahrenheit 9/11” (by Michael Moore), and the recent copyright and intellectual property legal fights in the US and Canada. For the moment, my current reading is in the realm of current events and non-fiction. Hopefully I’ll be able to get through these books in a timely manner but I do have my research work… and the time used to get out and enjoy summer (now that it’s here). 🙂
Last but not least, I’ve updated the photo galleries with new pictures! They can be found either in the Montreal gallery or the new “Miscellaneous” gallery. Enjoy!
